No, they have to show Iroh again because think about it... we still don't completely know about him and what his main importance is in the show even though we did find a little bit more about him in the "Zuko Alone" eppy. We still dont know what his importance was in the spirit world since obviously in "winter solstice part 2: avatar roku" he sees aang fly by and in the season finale, zhao even states something about the rumors of iroh traveling into the spiri world... there is still definetly something there that hasnt taken place...

Yeah, I agree. There's no way their just going to abandon Iroh unceremoniously like that...

Yes'ms, I agree completely.Iroh has a lot more to do with the show, other than just to be Zuko's second fatherly figure. I knew that Zhao had stated something about Iroh traveling into the spirit world in that last episode of Season 1, but I didn't remember him seeing Aang in the spirit world that time in Winter Solstice: Part 2. I had completely forgotten; is it just one of those things that you pass of for later? Maybe. ANyways, I see where you guys are getting at. Iroh will be in the show again, when and how and where is kind of going to be interesting. But he has a lot more to do with the plot. Plus, Zuko is basically nothing without Iroh...except for his hotti-hottness. He still has that.

We'll see Iroh again, he's played a major roll in the series and has contributed to Zuko's character developement. Somewhere along the line we'll see him again in an episode, he's too important of a character to just get rid of.

Agreed. I believe Iroh will appear at a climax-y time moment and will play a very important role.
I still find it hard to believe, though, that Zuko left him behind in the first place. Wouldn't he want to have Iroh with him?

While Zuko cares very much for Iroh, he felt the need to go alone. Zuko had gone through a transition of staying in his ship going out to capture Aang to later wander around the Earth Kingdom with Iroh. They had very little and you've seen how Iroh went to beg for money in "The Swamp" while Zuko didn't like it. Then we see how he uses his blue spirit disguise to do things. I believe Zuko just felt like he could handle it alone and just needs to have some time alone and try to sort out things.

I don't know. Possibly Zuko felt a bit restricted. At the same time, I don't see how he could have left Iroh on such a whim. Iroh's done more for him than anything in the world, and if Zuko intends to leave him permanately, I think he has a good reason. Maybe he's after something...or he planned something that he could not do with the burden of his uncle. (assasin mission?)

Hi! First post! Oh come on. An assasin mission? To kill who? But I agree, he will appear when Zuko needs him most or its really tense. ;D I don't know what I mean by tense.

I'm wondering if we're even going to see Iroh again in the series until he rejoins Zuko (or Aang or someone...). I mean, look at what we've had of him since he split with Zuko...uh...nada!
But I'd seriously like for the writers to give him his own little plot while he's away from Zuko. It's so much fun to have all these different things going at once...

Who knows? We may see a small Iroh sub-plot in an episode. He's eventually going to appear again.

Oooh, an Iroh sub-plot would be fun.
About Zuko leaving him: he didn't want to she his great uncle beg like a commoner for their dinner. It was degrading, and he was ashamed. So he felt he had to leave.
My big question is did Zuko have an ulterier motive or goal in this? Is he trying to acomplish something? Go somewhere? Or did he just want to leave Iroh because he should stand it any more? Methinks Zuko had something else in mind besides not wanting to see Iroh do that....

I would be thinking an assasin attempt at his father. Therefore he'd suceed the throne. It's not entirely impossible o.o He got through Zhao's fortress after all. And while the security at the capitol will be heavier, the area is much larger. Remember, Zuko never gives up *fangirlism screech*

Hm, well, I don't know if Zuko had exactly that in mind, that extreme, but I was thinking that he wanted to restore himself somehow and is trying to find away to do it. I don't think it would be so specific like that o.o
