Why, thank you, Phantom! Unfortunatly, I must say that I don't think we'll be seeing her for a long time. But that's just what I think. Hmm, but I do wonder...if Azula did murder him, why would Ursa leave? Unless she knew and she was scared that her good-for-nothing daughter was going to kill her, as well?

These are all awesome ideas! Here's what me and my dad are thinkin'. Ok. We know that, although Ursa loved her children, she didn't seem to take well with Azula. Remember when Ozai asked Azulan to revoke Iroh's birthright, and he said stuff about the punishment that had scaresely begun? Maybe Ozai was "Agni-Kai"'d. Possibility. So anyways. Perhaps he was really gonna kill Zuko. Azula knew Zuko wouldn't believe her, even if it was the truth. So when Ursa dragged Azula off for a "Talk", maybe something made Azula squeal. I mean, though she is a female clone of her father, she really doesn't seem to care for either of them. Why would she keep a secret that would rip her family apart? Maybe Ursa sacrificed herself for Zuko. In that case, no one would have known except Ozai, Azulan (before he died), Azula, and I'm sure Zuko would soon find out. So they wouldn't have said she was past. But I don't think she fled. Fled from what? Ozai didn't seem to be mistreating her, and she probably knew Zuko, Azula, and Ozai weren't the best of friends. Where would she have gone to? What did she have to do? Another theory: Azula had stolen Zuko's knife. She was outside his chambers. Azulan was a picture of health, and everyone knew it. No one was around to see the crime. It was the perfect setup. Ozai kills Azulan. Azula is to take care of Zuko in his sleep. They can pin the death on him, if anyone found out, and say he commited suicide after, in grief. They could say Ursa was scared of her son and henceforth left for her own safety. Ozai was the only one around that would supposedly hear Azulan's dying wish, so they had to believe him. Only, something got it the way. Ursa found something out. A hole in the master plan, perhaps? Maybe she went off to find Iroh. Of course, he was coming home, but maybe she had to warn him in advance. When she never came back, she may have left Iroh with specific instructions on Zuko's well being and how to keep her secret, whatever it may have been. After Ozai became Fire Lord, she had to slow things down. Winning a war was one thing. Torturing innocent people afterwards was another. Being a display for the Fire Lord's right hand was another. Having a daughter who was in deep with her husband was another. Whatever she did, it bought Zuko precious time. There was no way she could have foreseen the Agni-Kai so far in advance. No one did. Their relationship wasn't that bad yet. But something happenedthat's nagging at the back of my mind... *goes to youtube and rewatches Zuko Alone* What do you think?

That is a well thought-out theory 0_0.... Very complex, but good. ^^
My theory: I think that, of course, either Azula or Ozai killed Azulan during his sleep, but I mostly have my guesses toward Azula. Having Azulan out of the way, Ozai took the throne while he had the chance and while Iroh wasn't there. When Ursa found out that her husband had gotten the throne, she ran off probably because she knew that she wouldn't have the power to protect Zuko anymore. Before, Azulan called the shots, and when Ozai got the throne, he would have the power to do whatever he wanted including the power to banish Zuko without Azulan's consent. So, I think that Azulan was sort of a wall of protection and oppertunity for Ursa. She could protect Zuko without the worry of something drastic happening to Zuko because, at the time, Ozai wasn't in the state of throne to do something to him. Now, when Ursa was gone, Zuko was like sitting bait for Ozai. Zuko always seemed like a dissapointment and embarsassment to Ozai, and so, the Fire Lord took the first chance and excuse he could lay his hands on in order to get rid of Zuko.
There are some holes in that theory, but I don't feel like going into great detail about it at the moment. ^^;

Somehow I can't believe that Azula woulk kill Azulan. I mean, sure she's the spawn of the devil, but she was still only 5 or 6 years old.
Or, I could be giving her too much credit. ^^;

well if azula did it she might of practiced secretly but ozie might of done it he could of threatind him to change the will. or azula could have helped oziein the process. i dout ursa would have done it for she cared to much of zuko. ursa might have wached what they did and ran of. after that ozie might have tried to stop here but she left. then in that morning he had a painful sarrow. but he was still proud to be firelord.i bet sumwere in ozies heart he yerns for ursa. but i bet zuko missis here more. maby in one eppisode zuko will meet up with ursa

Perhaps in the Avatar movie?! (has anyone but me heard? just wondering...)But they may have Ursa make an appearance. No way to support this, but it's a posibility. Where else to have new characters come into play?

Jusr a thought. Hey, I thought of somehting else . Look here at these screen capts of Zuko Alone. www.firebender.com/e7/images/428.jpgwww.firebender.com/e7/images/429.jpgwww.firebender.com/e7/images/430.jpgwww.firebender.com/e7/images/431.jpgOk.What the heck is he so scared of? Yes, I realize he doesn't have the very best relations with Ozai and Azula. Yes, not that Ursa is gone there are no barriers between him and their wrath, and his grandfather is dead too, only adding to the pain. But Ozai, though hating his guts, didn't seem to be mistreating him yet. Is he truely that terrified of his younger sister? Like I said before, was Azula going to eliminate him in his sleep? If Zuko was sitting there listening to the sage, and watching every body's body language and expressions, he may have figured something out. But what? What does he know? It's the itch at the back of my mind that the writers foreshadowed something important here at some point before. Something in the character traits or perhaps the overall condition of Zuko's life. I can't recall what made this itch linger. All I know is I saw or read something that pieced it all together in a flash, and then it was gone. I'll work on it. Now. Go back and look at Zuko's posture in the capts. then look here. www.firebender.com/w12/images/369.jpgwww.firebender.com/w12/images/367.jpgZuko's posture in this position has always been humble, even if it has no reason to be. Humility in his life is smart. He knows when to play on that emotion, even if he's trying subconsciously. Look back at Azula's posture, then look here. I know it's not the same position, but just look. www.firebender.com/w20/images/547.jpgOk. Azula's posture has always been more assertive than her brother's, psychologically proving her thoughts that she IS the next Ozai. The writers want us to see Azula is a female clone of Ozai, cunning and wicked. Zuko is like Ursa, caring yet assertive. Now look at their positions on the stage thing. Azula is closest to Ozai, Zuko on the far side. If Zuko is to take over the throne, if Zuko is the next Fire Lord, why is Ozai shunning him even now? Why is Azula the one in his rightful place beside his father? Personally I think this better supports the theory I had before. Ozai and Azula are close, and Zuko and Ursa are close. There was a balance. Now the balance has tipped to one side, and Azula and Ozai are best buddies. In the context of my theory before, this proves Ozai and Azula teamed up and took out Azulan. Zuko's left farther out, not only because he's unimportant, but because he is not supposed to be there. Azula did not get a chance to kill him, but Ozai still accepts his youngest child's twisted thoughts and life. WIth Ursa gone, Zuko will simply fall to the bottom, no longer a threat. The perfect plan. I dunno. What do you think? And sorry for the long winded lecture. I'm overly bored.
